Why You're Here
Every day before you drive, you submit a Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) in Truck Genie. It takes about 2 minutes, it's required by law, and it protects you during DOT stops. This card walks you through it.
How to Submit
- Open your browser and go to my.truckgenie.app
- Log in with the email and password from your invitation
- Click DVIR > Create New in the left menu
- Pick your truck from the Power Unit dropdown
- Enter your current mileage and engine hours
- Walk the inspection checklist (see right →)
- Found a problem? Toggle the switch and add a note
- Tap Submit DVIR. Done.
What You'll See

The Inspection Checklist
Engine Compartment
Belts, hoses, and fluid levels — coolant, oil, power steering, transmission. Pop the hood and look for leaks.
Exterior
Lights, tires, wheels, brakes, air lines, mirrors, body panels, fluid leaks, fifth-wheel, suspension. Walk around the rig.
Interior
Seat belt, steering, horn, wipers, gauges, fire extinguisher, triangles, mirrors, brakes (park & service).
✓ Clean Inspection?
It's logged and you're done. Head out and have a safe trip.
⚠ Found an Issue?
A work order is created automatically and your manager is notified.
Don't drive with a safety issue until it's fixed.
If You Get Pulled In for an Inspection
Open Roadside Ready
- Tap Roadside Ready in the left menu
- Pick your truck from the Select Unit dropdown
- Everything for that truck loads on one screen
What's There
- Unit Documents — annual inspection, registration, cab card, IFTA, UCR
- Company Documents — USDOT, MC authority, insurance
- DVIR History — your recent inspections on this truck
- Service History — repairs that have been completed
Tap View on any document to open it right on your phone.
